If you love your freedom-thank a vet!

I just love this picture of Hunter and Buck….the building you see in the background is one of Sadaam’s many palaces.  It is widely stated that this particular palace was Sadaam’s “duck hunting” palace……Looks like the Good Ol’ USA is putting it to much better use!

And so today we honor our veterans…to whom we owe our lives and liberties.  I am a very proud mother of a veteran (still serving-Camp Stryker) and the very proud daughter of a WWII Veteran.  I truly understand first hand that freedom isn’t free.  We must choose to use our freedoms wisely to honor those who give some or all for our liberty.  Even if you’re a bottom feeder and you have nothing else to do with your time than surf the net and try and find meaningless dirt, thank a Veteran!  For the rest of us, let’s hold our heads high and completely enjoy our lives and liberties courtesy of our Veterans…..I know I am!!!!! Living the good life–courtesy of the Red, White and Blue!

I was just browsing and came across your Blog. God Bless you and your son! I pray that he comes home safe and soon. I know we are safe here because of the selfless commitment of people like your son. Let him know prayers are coming his way!

Hi, welcome to the “blogosphere”! Hope you’re ready for an addiction because this one sure can be. My nephew, who just turned 21, just made it safely home from Iraq this summer and we are thankful every day although it looks like his next deployment MIGHT be Afghanistan. I’ll keep your Hunter in my prayers.

We have an amazing tribute to Veteran’s at my children’s little K-12
    prairie school-
I blogged about it and the wonderful young man who came and shared some of his stories of Afghanistan- he was a hero to the kids!
Our prayers, respect and gratitude are with you and your son!
My son, who is 12 now, has said he wants to go into the Army ever since he was about 5 yrs old-
My mother’s heart says no, my mother’s head says to let him follow his heart-
Maybe in 6 or 7 years, I will be writing you for support and advice!
